Itinerary Overview Day by Day
Welcome to Venice
Arrive in Venice and check into our hotel. In the late afternoon, meet your ride leader and fellow tour participants for a detailed trip briefing, followed by a refined welcome dinner featuring authentic Venetian specialties.
From the Venetian Lagoon to the Prosecco Wine Hills & Alpine Gates
After picking up our motorcycles, we leave the glittering Venetian lagoon behind and head north toward the foothill curves. We quickly find ourselves immersed in the UNESCO-protected Prosecco hills of Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, carving through a maze of perfectly groomed vineyards and panoramic ridges. Following a espresso stop with sweeping views over the vines, the road sweeps smoothly into the Venetian Prealps. Riding along the historic Piave River Valley, we gear up for our first taste of alpine twisties as we arrive at the gateway of the Dolomites in Longarone.
Cortina d’Ampezzo, Dolomite Vistas & Lake Sauris Zipline
A magnificent day of riding through the soaring peaks of the Eastern Dolomites. We ride into world-famous Cortina d’Ampezzo, the “Queen of the Dolomites” and host of the Winter Olympics, taking in its breathtaking alpine valley setting. From Cortina, we carve our way across pristine mountain passes to reach the shimmering, turquoise waters of Lake Sauris. Here, for those seeking an extra thrill, you can soar right over the emerald lake on an epic fly-over zipline before winding through the authentic mountain villages of Carnia.
Crossing into Slovenia & The Emerald Soča Valley
We ride toward the border, taking in scenic mountain passes once marked by history at Monte Croce Carnico. Crossing seamlessly into Slovenia, we enter Triglav National Park and follow the breathtaking, crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Soča River. Our journey ascends the famous Vršič Pass with its legendary alpine switchbacks before we descend into the charming mountain resort of Kranjska Gora.
Alpine Lakes & The Open-Air History of Mount Kolovrat
We begin the morning riding past the fairy-tale shores of Lake Bled and peaceful Lake Bohinj in the heart of the Julian Alps. Turning southwest along the ridge of Mount Kolovrat, we stop to explore restored WWI open-air trenches offering sweeping 360-degree views stretching from mountain peaks down to the Adriatic Sea. In the late afternoon, we cross back into Italy to settle in historic Cividale del Friuli.
Collio Wine Roads, Lipizzaner Heritage & The Adriatic Coast
We roll through the gentle, vineyard-draped hills of the Collio wine region, renowned for world-class white wines, before a brief hop into Slovenia to visit the historic Lipica Stud Farm, home of the noble Lipizzaner horses. From there, we descend toward the Adriatic Sea, enjoying the coastal breeze and a fresh seafood dinner in the picturesque harbor village of Muggia.
Trieste’s Scenic Coast & Return to Venice
Our final day on the road features a stunning cruise along Trieste’s Coastal Road, stopping to take in the grandeur of Piazza Unità d’Italia overlooking the sea. A smooth afternoon highway ride brings us back to Venice for motorcycle drop-off. In the evening, we gather for our grand farewell celebration dinner to toast an unforgettable cross-border adventure.
