Ride Italy’s Hidden Roads

Italy Adventure Ride – From Road to Gravel

Join a ride through Italy on both paved roads and light gravel paths — perfect for riders who want adventure without giving up comfort and style.

Who This Tour Is For

Designed for riders who dream of exploring Italy beyond the usual paved routes — without sacrificing comfort, scenery, or style. Perfect for experienced road riders who want to safely discover the thrill of light off-road (“gravel”) riding, even if it’s their first time. This is not an enduro tour, but a perfectly balanced adventure designed for riders of all levels, a true dual adventure: smooth asphalt, scenic gravel roads, and the joy of discovering authentic Italy at your own pace. Ideal for solo riders or couples who enjoy variety — a tour that’s both exciting and relaxing, combining adventure and Italian charm.

Tour Highlights

Itinerary Overview Day by Day

Day 1

Arrival in Rome

Welcome to Italy! Arrival in Rome and transfer to your hotel located in the historic center, within walking distance of the city’s main landmarks. Take the afternoon to explore the Eternal City at your own pace. In the evening, tour briefing and welcome dinner with your fellow riders.

Day 2

Off-Road Riding School & Training Day

Morning transfer to a private off-road area in the Tolfa hills. Your certified instructors will guide you through a dedicated training program: body position, throttle control, braking on loose surfaces, and balance techniques — always in a safe, fun environment. Afternoon guided trail ride on scenic trails through the hills to put your new skills into practice.

Day 3

Dual Ride: The Tuscia & Maremma Loop

A circular ride through the wild heart of Lazio, mixing scenic gravel with smooth backroads. Ride across forests, ancient Etruscan valleys, and panoramic ridgelines.
Terrain: 60% gravel / 40% paved.

Day 4

From the Tyrrhenian Coast to Tuscany’s Heartland

A day of contrasts: from the blue sea to the golden Tuscan hills. Enjoy easy gravel sections through the Tuscan Maremma, the scenic tufo towns of Pitigliano and Sovana, and the curvy climb up to Montalcino — home of Brunello wine.
Terrain: 70% paved / 30% gravel.

Day 5

The Legendary “Eroica” Experience

Ride north on the world-famous Strade Bianche — Tuscany’s historic white roads. This “Eroica Light” route avoids the most demanding climbs but keeps the magic intact: winding gravel lanes through vineyards, olive groves, and medieval towns. Stops in Pienza for lunch and Siena for coffee in Piazza del Campo.
Terrain: 55% gravel / 45% paved.

Day 6

Chianti to Umbria: Between Vineyards and Lakes

A superb combination of winding Tuscan backroads and gentle gravel tracks. Pass through the Crete Senesi and the Val d’Orcia’s southern edge, then descend into the green hills of Umbria overlooking Lake Trasimeno.
Terrain: 80% paved / 20% gravel.

Day 7

Return Ride to Rome

A final day on perfect tarmac — a smooth, scenic road journey back to Rome. Ride through the lake country of central Italy, with stops in Orvieto and Bolsena before returning to The Eternal City.
Terrain: 100% paved.
