Itinerary Overview Day by Day

Day 1

Arrival in Milan

Arrive in Milan, Italy’s capital of style and culture. Check in at your hotel in the city center, relax, and explore nearby landmarks like the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. In the late afternoon, meet your tour leader and fellow riders for a welcome briefing and traditional Italian dinner.

Day 2

Milan — Portofino — Cinque Terre (via Bobbio & Val Trebbia)

Begin your Italian adventure with a stunning ride through Lombardy’s countryside and the Apennine foothills. Follow the legendary Val Trebbia — one of Italy’s most scenic motorcycle routes, beloved by local riders — then descend toward the Ligurian coast. Stop for a coffee break in Portofino, Italy’s most glamorous seaside village, before continuing along the coast to La Spezia or Monterosso, your base for exploring the Cinque Terre.

Day 3

Cinque Terre & Porto Venere

A full day dedicated to exploring the Cinque Terre — five colorful fishing villages clinging to the cliffs
above the Mediterranean. Visit Riomaggiore, Vernazza, and Monterosso, and enjoy a scenic ride or ferry to Porto Venere, often called the “Sixth Terre”. Dinner overlooking the sea.

Day 4

La Spezia — Lucca — Pisa — Florence

Ride the scenic coastal road south to Pisa for a photo stop at the Leaning Tower. Continue to Lucca — a gem surrounded by perfectly preserved medieval walls — before heading to Florence, the Renaissance capital.
Evening free to stroll along the Arno River or enjoy a gelato in Piazza della Signoria

Day 5

Florence — Volterra — San Gimignano — Val d’Orcia

Leave Florence heading through the heart of Tuscany. Ride across vineyards and hilltop towns, stopping in Volterra and San Gimignano, both UNESCO sites. Continue through winding country roads into the Val d’Orcia, a landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and cypress-lined lanes.

Day 6

Val d’Orcia — Mount Amiata — Abetone Pass (Apennines)

From Tuscany’s rolling hills, climb into the mountains for a day of thrilling riding. Ascend Mount Amiata — an extinct volcano and one of Italy’s highest peaks — then continue north through Abetone Pass. Overnight in a cozy mountain lodge or countryside hotel surrounded by forests and fresh alpine air.

Day 7

Apennines — Bologna (via Futa & Raticosa Passes) — Milan

Ride two of Italy’s most legendary roads: the Futa and Raticosa Passes, famous among Italian riders
and Ducati enthusiasts. Stop in Bologna for a gourmet lunch — the capital of Italian cuisine — before returning to Milan through scenic secondary roads. Farewell dinner and celebration with your tour leader and fellow travelers.
