This is our most classic tour: it offers a unique opportunity to discover the heart of Italy in the best way, that is, on board a motorcycle.

Starting from Rome we will explore the north of Lazio, full of lakes and beautiful places to visit, including a couple of splendid typical villages, and then head to the splendid Umbria (green heart of Italy) and from there to the famous Tuscany.

6 days on a motorbike to discover the most beautiful places in central Italy, with stops in tourist towns rich in art and history, including:

  • the medieval town of Orvieto with its astonishing Duomo
  • the sanctuary city of Assisi, a UNESCO world heritage site and birthplace of Saint Francis, founder of the Franciscan religious order, with its basilica rich in art treasures
  • the city of Siena, a medieval jewel whose historic center is a UNESCO world heritage site 

In addition to the towns and specific places, you will enjoy the beauty of unique landscapes crossing magnificent places such as the Sienese hills, the Chianti and the Val D’Orcia. (the Val D’Orcia which we will cross by motorbike has also been classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO)

All our bikes are well-maintained with low mileage and can typically be outfitted with a set of three cases, including side panniers and a top box. Tour Details & Essentials

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Rome – Briefing & Welcome Dinner.
Arrive at the hotel, meet our guide for a tour briefing, and enjoy a welcome dinner with traditional Roman cuisine.

Day 2: Rome to Umbria – The Three Lakes Tour.
Ride through Lazio’s volcanic lakes, visiting Bracciano and its famous Odescalchi Castle, Sutri’s Etruscan Necropolis, and the stunning Civita di Bagnoregio. End the day by Lake Corbara, entering Umbria via scenic roads.

Day 3: Umbria – Valnerina Valley & Sibillini Mountains.
Explore the hidden gems of Umbria, riding through Spoleto, Norcia, and the scenic Monti Sibillini National Park. Enjoy winding roads through mountains and forests before returning via the Chienti River valley.

Day 4: Umbria to Tuscany – Assisi & Lake Trasimeno.
Visit Assisi, home of St. Francis, then ride along Lake Trasimeno’s scenic shores. Enter Tuscany via Cortona and reach Montepulciano through picturesque roads lined with vineyards and medieval villages.

Day 5: Tuscany – Val d’Orcia UNESCO Heritage Tour.
Discover the breathtaking landscapes of Val d’Orcia, visiting charming villages like Pienza and Montalcino, renowned for its Brunello wine. Stop at the mystical Abbey of San Galgano and the famous sword in the stone.

Day 6: Tuscany – Chianti & Siena Tour.
Explore Siena’s medieval beauty, including Piazza del Campo. Ride through the Chianti region’s rolling hills, passing through picturesque villages like Greve and Radda in Chianti.

Day 7: Tuscany to Rome – Orvieto & Return.
Ride to Orvieto to admire its magnificent Gothic cathedral before heading back to Rome, arriving in the afternoon.

Pricing

  • Base Rate: $6,570 (with a 10% Early Bird discount until May 31, 2025; standard price $7,300).
  • Single room: $7,380 for the room, not shared with another rider (with a 10% Early Bird discount until May 31, 2025; standard price $8,200).
  • Couples (rider and passenger): $8,910 (with a 10% Early Bird discount until May 31, 2025; standard price $9,900).
  • Standard Accommodation: Double room shared with another rider/passenger.
  • Motorcycle Rental: Standard model included in the base rate.

Additional Options:

  • Premium Motorcycle: Add $350 for a premium model.

Please note: Booking a Shared Room requires a minimum of two riders. If only one rider is booked, the Single Room rate will apply.

What's included

  • Enjoy seven nights of accommodation in carefully selected hotels.

  • Daily breakfast and dinner are provided throughout the tour.

  • Ride a motorcycle for six guided days, complete with basic insurance coverage.

  • Benefit from the expertise of an English-speaking guide, with a ratio of one guide per six participants.

  • A support vehicle will accompany the group for the duration of the tour.

  • Ferry transportation is included for sea routes, such as those in Sardinia and Ischia.

  • Receive assistance throughout the entire tour to ensure a seamless experience.​

  • Airfare to and from Italy.

  • Meals, snacks, and beverages consumed during the day.

  • Wine and alcoholic beverages at dinner (for those who choose to consume them).

  • Gratuities.

  • Fuel expenses (estimated at approximately $200).

  • Any applicable motorway tolls.

  • Optional extensions of vehicle insurance coverage.

  • Travel insurance (not mandatory but recommended).

  • Entrance fees to museums or monuments.​

Payment terms

  • Deposit Requirement: A 20% deposit is needed to confirm your booking.
  • Balance Due: Please pay the remaining amount at least 45 days before the tour’s commencement.
  • Our U.S. base allows us to process payments in U.S. dollars, ensuring a straightforward payment experience.
  • Motorbike Selection: Choose between premium and standard motorcycle categories when booking. Prices and deposit amounts differ. If you have a specific model in mind, indicate it so we can reserve it for you.

Cancellation policy

  • Full Refund: Cancel your booking at least 90 days before the tour’s start date to receive a complete refund of your deposit.
  • Partial Refund: Cancellations made between 89 and 45 days prior to departure, or failure to pay the remaining balance by 45 days before the tour, will result in the deposit being non-refundable.
  • No Refund: If you cancel less than 45 days before the tour begins, the entire tour cost will be forfeited.
  • Minimum Participants: A minimum of six participants, including riders and passengers, is required for the tour to proceed.
  • Tour Cancellation: In the unlikely event that the tour is canceled due to insufficient participants, your deposit will be fully refunded.
  • Confirmation: We will confirm the tour before requesting the final payment.
