Itinerary
Arrival in the historic city of Rome, where your Italian adventure begins. Settle into your accommodation and meet your fellow riders and tour guide for an evening welcome dinner. Get to know the group, review the upcoming journey, and enjoy a taste of traditional Roman cuisine as you prepare for the days ahead.
Leaving Rome we will travel through the region of Lazio, with its beautiful volcanic lakes, starting from Bracciano with the sumptuous Odescalchi Castle (chosen by international stars as the site of famous weddings, including Tom Cruise's); the journey continues (with a very nice road to drive) to the village of Sutri, where we can do a brief stop to visit the Etruscan Necropolis, a complex of tombs dating as far back as the 1st century B.C.
Passing by the charming Lake Bolsena we`ll arrive at Civita di Bagnoregio, also known as “The Dying City,” a medieval village situated on a tuff hill, accessible only by a footbridge. It is a place that seems suspended in time, the image of which you will most probably remember forever.
This is the last stop on our tour today. After that, we`ll head straight into Umbria, taking a wonderful road that passes through the beautiful Lake Corbara.
These are places unknown to mass tourism but fascinating and great fun to ride on a motorcycle, passing through the town of Spoleto, famous for its ancient cathedral and Roman Theater. we`ll plunge into the heart of the Valnerina, one of the most beautiful and wild valleys in central Italy.
Skirting the Nera River we will arrive in Norcia, famous for its cold cuts and historic center. From there we`ll continue to the medieval village of Visso, with scenic roads passing by the mountains and forests of the Monti Sibillini National Park.
The return to the resort will be via a different route, along the Chienti River valley, taking a scenic route, perfect for motorcycle riding, with curves that allow you to admire the mountain landscape.
The first stop on this day is not to be missed: it is Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis where history meets spirituality. We will stop to admire the majesty of the Basilica of St. Francis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, leaving us time to visit.
We will then head toward Lake Trasimeno, via the coastal road that offers picturesque villages with spectacular views of the lake.
We will then enter Tuscany, in Cortona, a spectacular Etruscan village with breathtaking views of the Valdichiana.
We will reach Montepulciano, the final leg of our journey today, via roads full of smooth and fun curves, driving through the postcard-perfect Tuscan countryside, with hills covered in vineyards, cypress trees, and medieval villages glimpsed in the distance.
The Val d'Orcia is a place where the landscape seems painted: rolling hills, golden vineyards, centuries-old olive groves, and a unique light that changes throughout the day: riding through these roads on a motorcycle ensures priceless emotions
We`ll devote the whole day to exploring the fascinating villages and landscapes of this valley, touching charming towns such as Pienza, Monticchiello, Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico d’Orcia, and Montalcino, the place of production of the famous Brunello di Montalcino, one of the most renowned wines in the world.
We`ll not miss a visit to the Abbey of San Galgano, a spectacular place, famous for its mystical atmosphere and the sword in the stone kept in the nearby Chapel of Montesiepi.
The first stop of the day will be the amazing Siena, a perfect and dazzling example of medieval town planning, with its Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful medieval squares in Europe, home to the famous Palio, the historic horse race held every year.
After Siena, the tour will be devoted to exploring the Chianti region, famous for its namesake wine, Chianti Classico; driving along scenic roads that meander through breathtaking landscapes and beautiful villages such as Greve in Chianti and Radda in Chianti.
From Montepulciano we will head to the beautiful town of Orvieto, situated on a tuff cliff, where we can admire the Duomo di Orvieto, one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in Italy.
We will then begin the route back to Rome where we will return in the afternoon.
